JW JONES/Live: He might be a white boy with the blues from Canada but he doesn't let those two strikes serve to strike him out as this live album shows so well for the award winning guitar slinger. Fit to be riding with the Kings as well as the Wolfs, the Rodgers and more as he exhibits in the closing mega medley, after all is said and done, he's a real party animal. Totally on point throughout, this is high water mark for contemporary blues rock that cuts to the chase right out of the box.
(Solid Blues 4)
MYRIAD 3/Vera: If this jazz trio was the kind of band that could play casinos, their knack for winning hands on calculated risks would have them banned for card counting or something. Shining a light in a modern jazz wilderness, this is the kind of set that will grow it's own audience of rabid followers due to the smoking chops that are exercised to their fullest and will build followers inevitably that will be unstoppable. More than just well played instrumental music, this stuff gives your brain a well needed work out as well. Killer stuff throughout.
